ABOUT THE GOTHTONES

Jerret Cortese started writing and recording in the 1980s and has released 16 albums since his 1994 debut, The Well, with Seattle-based punk lounge trio, Laundry.

Originally (and currently) from Chicago, Gothtones, is his latest release from May of this year – the fourth album from his post-punk band The Gothtones.

A dedicated DIYer, Jerret has primarily recorded from his basement, with a few stints in the studio along the way. The new album is self-produced and was partially recorded at Electrical Audio. The LP includes several guests musicians from the Chicago scene, including Carolyn Englemann, Amalea Tshilds, and Ann Filmer, all of whom assist with vocals.
